Washington College - a Gem on the Eastern Shore of Maryland

Today I spent a sunny morning touring Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, just under two hours from Montgomery County. With 1,400 undergraduates, students can expect small classes and personalized attention.  Here are some reasons to check out Washington College: 

• The "Washington College to Wall Street" program helps students interested in business get internships and network with alumni.

• The Chesapeake Semester lets students earn 16 credits while traveling around the Chesapeake Bay for intensive study, field work, and outdoor adventure.
  
• The Rose O'Neill Literary House is the hub of Washington College's strong writing program.  Of particular note is the Sophie Kerr prize, an annual award of $60,000 for the graduating senior demonstrating the best potential for literary achievement.
