Junior Jumpstart consists of 3 meetings between January 1 - July 1 of a student's junior year. The program is designed to give families all of the information and resources they need to manage the process on their own throughout the summer and fall, and will include:
building a list of colleges and an overall strategy
selecting senior courses and recommendation writers
discussing standardized testing, extracurricular activities, and summer plans
preparing for college interviews and visits
creating a "demonstrated interest" plan
brainstorming essay topics and application strategy
Students will receive access to a Custom College Plan account and other VinikEPS tools to guide them through the application process.
