This limited program is for families who want help generating a preliminary list of colleges in junior or senior year and are prepared to handle the rest of the college admissions and application process on their own. Families who choose this option will complete two questionnaires and provide a copy of a high school transcript before meeting with a Vinik EPS counselor. This information will serve as the basis for the 90-minute List meeting. This meeting is an opportunity to have a broad ranging discussion so that the counselor can generate a tailored list of appropriate colleges based on grades, standardized test scores, academic and extracurricular interests and other factors (size, location, campus culture, etc.) that students consider important.
After the List meeting, the counselor will consult with the Vinik EPS team and create a list of between twenty and thirty colleges for the family to consider. This list will include colleges that are high reaches, reaches, middles and likelies based on the Vinik team's assessment. While this will be a fluid list that will change as students learn more about their options over the course of the admissions process, it will provide a solid foundation for a successful college search.
