Laura can also provide career consultations, resume and cover letter review, mock interviews, LinkedIn profile reviews, and/or networking strategy plans for prelaw or law students exploring career paths and creating their roadmap for work experiences during and after law school.
Laura's Legal Experience.
Laura Hosid graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and then received her JD from New York University School of Law in 2003. She practiced at law firms in New York and Philadelphia before transitioning to law school administration.
Laura worked as a law school career counselor with JD and LLM students and alumni at the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Georgetown University Law Center, American University Washington College of Law, and Catholic University Columbus School of Law. She has previously been an active member of The National Association for Law Placement (NALP) and the Washington Area Legal Recruitment Administrators Association (WALRAA).
After leaving Georgetown Law in 2012, Laura has spent the past few years working at Vinik EPS as a private college and law school admissions counselor. She also spent three semesters (Spring 2018, Fall 2019, and Spring 2023) working as the interim pre-law advisor at Georgetown University's Cawley Career Education Center, where she guided over 100 students through the law school admissions process.
